My Previous Bikes Text.gif

Here's my Peg standing by my 89 Goldwing. This bike was very special to me because Peg proposed to me on it while we were cruising one day 3 weeks after we first met. It was the first time she had ever been on a big bike and I figure it must have been all that fresh air!! I said YES!!  I couldn't believe I was lucky enough to find a person as great as Peg who loved riding with me on my Goldwing.  My buddy Dan Kintner and I cruised all over the country while I owned this bike.  From California to Maine.  We once drove from California back to Michigan in 3 days to avoid losing any work.  That was a fun ride!

This is me on my "85 Goldwing Aspencade. This was my first "Big" bike. My buddy Bob Cunningham and I ordered identical bikes & picked them up the same day. Wow!! I was in heaven but I knew I was in trouble soon as I sat on the bike. I'm a short fella and my toes just barely touched the ground. My legs were shaking because I had never driven anything that big but by the time I reached my house, I was wondering what had taken me so long in getting a big bike. The next day I went out and had two extra soles put on my boots. Now I could touch the ground comfortably with my toes. I was in business. Of course I endured years of ribbing from friends and family about those boots.

Here's my '82 Honda 650 Four Nighthawk. This picture was taken on the way back from a trip to Wyoming with my buddy Bob. I broke a shock in Brady, Nebraska on this trip and Bob had to ride 300 miles to find a dealer that had a shock for this bike. That dealer charged me an arm & a leg for one shock but I was in no position to argue about the price.
Thanks Bob..you're a great friend.
